About Dr. Boris Konrad

Dr. Boris Nikolai Konrad is a neuroscientist, memory trainer, keynote speaker, author and multiple Guinness World Record holder in memory sport.

He is among the best-known experts in the fields of memory, learning and how the brain works. What makes Boris distinctive is his combination of scientific depth and spectacular practical relevance. He researches how memory works, but on stage he also shows live what a trained brain is capable of.

Boris studied physics and computer science and earned his doctorate on the neural basis of exceptional memory performance. Since 2014 he has been affiliated with the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour at Radboud University in Nijmegen, where he conducts research on memory, memory training and the relationship between the brain and modern technology.

As a speaker, Boris makes complex topics understandable and surprisingly practical. He speaks about neuroscience, artificial intelligence, learning, memory and the question of how people can keep using their brains optimally in a world where technology is becoming ever smarter. His keynotes combine substance, humour, interaction and impressive memory demonstrations.

Boris is an eight-time team world champion in memory sport and has set four Guinness World Records, including memorising names and faces. He also became known to a wider audience through television appearances, including the German programme "Deutschlands Superhirn".

Since 2006 Boris has been active as a keynote speaker, author and expert in memory training and artificial intelligence. In 2016 he received the international title of Certified Speaking Professional, a recognition within the professional speaking field. In 2017 he won the 5 Star Speaker Award in the Best Performer Speaker category.

His work centres on a clear conviction: a good memory is not a talent for the few, but a skill anyone can develop. With the right techniques, people can learn better, remember more and engage more consciously with their attention, knowledge and thinking power.

For Boris, professional speaking is more than sharing knowledge. It is letting people experience what becomes possible when science, wonder and practical application come together. His audience leaves not only with new insights about the brain, but also with the confidence that they can immediately improve their own memory and learning ability.
